CADR (Clean Air Delivery Rate), is a metric used to quantify the effectiveness of an air purifier in at capturing specific pollutants (dust, pollen, smoke etc.)from the air. Developed by the Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers (AHAM), CADR is a standardized way to compare the performance of air purifiers. CADR is important because it allows customers to compare the effectiveness of their air purifier.

For the Ionic Pro Platinum, We recommend cleaning the permanent ionic filter, internal ionizer wires, and pre-filter every 8 weeks, though more frequent cleaning may be required if the purifier is placed in an area with a high concentration of airborne contaminants (excessive smoke, pet dander, etc.).
